Solidarity Alert - 7/21/2023
2025 Legislative Advocacy Conference
February 9-14, 2025
Your EA will be sending a team to Washington DC to participate in Legislative Advocacy Week, February 10-14.
Why is this important? In today’s climate of change and uncertainty in the political sector, we at the EA feel it is imperative to maintain relationships and build new relationships with our representatives on Capitol Hill.
Our elected officials in the House and Senate are so busy with all that goes on in Washington DC that they could forget their constituents (EA Members) they are there to represent. We want to ensure our Senators and Representatives see us in person and hear our voices. We will also be attending a Federal Caucus hosted by the IFPTE and working alongside their legislative director who advocates for labor on the hill full time.
PIERS
The PIERS Alliance is joint-partnership between TVA and the EA that is built upon the foundational elements of Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence, Relationships and Service (PIERS). These foundational elements represent the standards by which TVA and the EA will work together to ensure accountability, strengthen communication, and jointly seek solutions to continue serving the people of the Valley.
PIERS Alliance Champion Training
PIERS Champions Training will equip PIERS Champions developing relationships, learn about effective and intentional listening, facilitating conversations, and problem solving to resolve conflicts and find solutions.
From TVA today, go to Training and Development/ LMS/ search for "PIERS" or "50011881". Champions are able to self-enroll and choose their preferred session to attend. Training and Development (tva.gov)
